International Day of Conscience

The draft constitution shall stipulate upholding and safeguarding high universal principles of human values, freedoms and human rights, and realizing equality in dignity, rights and obligations of all female and male citizens without discrimination.

The draft constitution shall ensure full compliance with all international human rights conventions, covenants and agreements ratified by the Syrian state and it shall ensure holding  perpetrators of barbaric acts that harm the human conscience accountable for their deeds.

Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of human rights stipulates: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”
