Anniversary of the chemical attack in Douma
At least 70 people were killed in the chemical attack that targeted the city of Douma.
1. The constitution shall guarantee full compliance with International Humanitarian Law, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the International Convention against Torture and the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons.
2. The constitution shall guarantee holding perpetrators accountable for all kinds of crimes; serving justice for victims; providing reparations; monitoring of human rights violations and ensuring non-recurrence, and the promotion and protection of human rights and the consolidation of their values.
