Hadi Albahra’s started to be known after the outbreak of the Syrian revolution in March 2011. Since its beginnings, he utilized his relations and technical expertise to support it by supporting relief and media efforts.

Born in Damascus 1959, married with two children, he holds a degree in industrial engineering from Wichita State University in the United States of America.

 He served as the CEO of “Erfan and Bagedo” hospitals in Jeddah, KSA, between 1983 and 1987. After that, he co-founded a company specialized in computer software and the production of 3D films and computer games, in the Free Zone in Damascus, and served as its CEO.

He held the first edutainment exhibition in Syria in 2004. He served as the CEO of Techno Media Ltd. in Jeddah, until the end of 2012.
He joined the National Coalition after its expansion on 30 May 2013. He was part of the independent figures bloc, and was elected as a member of the political committee and became its secretary later. In January 2013, the Coalition chose him as its chief negotiator at the Geneva 2 conference. He was elected president of the Coalition, in July 2014, and his presidency of the coalition lasted until January 2015. He has been a member of its political committee to date, and since the end of the year 2017 he was elected as a member of the Syrian Negotiation Commission as one of the Coalition representatives in it.

On 9 October 2019, the SNC assigned him to chair the revolutionary and opposition forces delegation to the Constitutional Committee and as its co-chair of the Committee, in the meeting held at the headquarters in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia
