World Humanitarian Day

It is an international day dedicated to honor humanitarian aid workers, especially those who lost their lives in the field during their work for humanitarian causes. It is an occasion to commend aid workers everywhere, ensure protection for them and for the vital work they undertake.
The new draft constitution shall encourage the support humanitarian aid workers who provide assistance to the most vulnerable populations within society. It shall also encourage the culture of humanitarian voluntary work and call for an integrated system for humanitarian work, in which the direct role of the state shall be in shouldering its responsibility towards ensuring the freedom of civil society organizations without any discrimination in a manner that ensures the safety and dignity of its citizens as well as the territorial integrity and unity of the country and its people. In addition, individuals and civil society organizations shall have a role in undertaking their tasks with the highest standards of transparency. These three roles shall be closely interconnected and harmonized.
